God’s Affection For You

Prayer for God’s Affection

Father, the creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from your glorious, unlimited resources that you will empower us with inner strength through your Holy Spirit.  Make your home in our hearts as we put our trust in you. May our roots grow down into your love and keep us strong. And may we have the power to understand how wide, how long, how high, and how deep your love is.  May we experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. I pray that the love of Christ will make us complete with all the fullness of life and power that only comes from you.

Amen.

Quote: “Consider a tree for a moment. As beautiful as trees are to look at, we don’t see what goes on underground – as they grow roots. Trees must develop deep roots in order to grow strong and produce their beauty. But we don’t see the roots. We just see and enjoy the beauty. In much the same way, what goes on inside of us is like the roots of a tree.” ~Joyce Meyer

Scripture: “When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth.  I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit.  Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him.  Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep your strong.  And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully.  Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”  (Ephesians 3:14-19, NLT)

Song: Only Your Love by Kari Jobe-Carnes

Latter Rain (Joel 2:23-27)

anchorhope

Lord we know that as it is in heaven, so it is on the earth.

In the book of Joel, Your word says that You have given us the former rain faithfully, and that You will cause the rain to come down for us.  The former rain, and the latter rain – for this is what you do first.  We know that in the natural, if enough moisture and upward motion is present, then that is when the rain falls.

So Father, with tears falling down our face, as we worship and cry out to you, with our hands raised upwards toward you – We declare that this latter rain that shall come down from you, will bring a new level or restoration to the body of Christ.  We declare that new life will come down with the latter rain.  We declare that love will come down with the latter rain. We declare that healing will come down with the latter rain.  We declare that joy will come down with the latter rain.  We declare that peace will come down with the latter rain.  We declare that hope will come down with the latter rain.  We declare that restoration of one-hundred fold will come down with the latter rain.  We declare that a true revelation of who You are will also come down with the latter rain.  We know that in the natural, the latter represents those things occurring nearer to the end of something rather than to the beginning.

So Father, with this latter rain that you would cause to come down for us – We declare the end of sickness by the latter rain.  We declare the end of broken marriages by the latter rain.  We declare the end of broken relationships by the latter rain.   We declare the end of strife, anger, and envy by the latter rain.  The repentance that we openly declare to You within our hearts, we pray will cause the latter rain to wash our lives completely.  We declare that the latter rain You will send, will bring restoration of joy and it will remove our pain.  Your word says that You will restore to us the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust (grasshoppers), the consuming locust (shearer-worms), and the chewing locust (cutter-worms), your great army which you sent against us.  We declare that we shall eat plenty and be satisfied, and we will praise Your name because you done such wonders with us.  You are the Lord our God, and there is no other.

All these things we declare and ask in the authority of Jesus’ name. Amen!

Quote: “Everyone has their own boat, it’s a matter of pulling it out of the sand, and putting it in the water. But further, you can anchor the boat in fear when the storms rage, and go nowhere, let it drift aimlessly on its own or you can let God be the navigator and guide you on a journey in a way that is right for you.” ~Anthony Liccione

Scripture: “Rejoice, you people of Jerusalem! Rejoice in the Lord your God! For the rain he sends demonstrates His faithfulness.  Once more the autumn rains will come, as well as the rains of spring.  The threshing floors will again be piled high with grain, and the presses will overflow with new wine and olive oil.” (Joel 2: 23 – 24, NLT)
